Free Wi-Fi access is available at the Acropolis thanks to the National Research and Technology Network (GRNET) and the Acropolis Restoration Service (YSMA). This means that

The project allows for free wireless internet access through “eduroam”, an international roaming service for users in research, higher education and further education. The program provides students and academics easy and secure network access when visiting an institution other than their own.

GRNET is now working on the design of Internet applications that give details and information on the archeological site.
