In an interview to German Handeslblatt French Finance Minister Michel Sapin blasted his German counterpart Wolfgang Schauble on his plan for a temporary Grexit. Sapin points out that Schauble is in the wrong on the Greek issue, adding “…he contradicts his own will for Europe”. Sapin continues by underlining that he sees eye to eye with Schauble on reinforcing the European project, something as he states that rules out the solution of a temporary Grexit. “If you allow a temporary exit that means that any country with difficulties will want t leave”, he claims. He says that a change in the EU treaties to adopt a common EU Finance Minister and a common budget can not happen before 2017.
