The word ‘Grexit’, which refers to a possible exit of Greece from the Eurozone will most probably be added into the English dictionary, as it has entered into our vocabulary over the past year or so. A different version of that is the ‘Germanexit’, which is not as much in the fore, as a German exit from the Eurozone seems quite unlikely…Might this change, however? After Greece was submitted to accept terms during the EU-19 Summit in Brussels that were widely considered as humiliating by the EU, French speaking Europeans are inviting other Europeans to sign a petition for a German exit from the Eurozone. The biting online letter dubs the German stance towards Greece as a ‘disgrace’ for European ideals. The petition says that the terms imposed on Greece by Germany and the EU partners will turn the small nation into a German colony. “We must defy threats like those made by the German Finance Minister, Wolfgang Schauble during the EU-19 Summit”, an excerpt reads.
