French police seek terrorist hubs in France, Belgium and Greece

Police investigations seek cesspools of terrorists in an effort to find accessories to the Paris Attacks

Anti-terror squads are on a huge manhunt for accessories of the Paris Attacks on Friday, November 13, with investigations in many countries around Europe, mainly France, Belgium and Greece. The course of the jihadists who struck against civilians is being traced through these three regions and police are scouring areas in these countries with surgical precision.

Greece was used as a crossing by at least one of the terrorists, say French authorities, whereas France and Belgium have extremist hubs where fundamentalists plan their attacks. Furthermore, apart from the people directly involved in the strike, there were accessories that assisted the attackers. It is certain that the eight attackers did not act alone, and police are currently investigating the involvement of other people and groups.

So far, the French police have officially asked for Greece’s help in the identification and information on Ahmad Almohamad. He crossed over the island of Leros, Greece, before crossing from Croatia to Serbia and take an unknown route to get to Paris. Greek authorities helped identify this person and shed the light on his activities after a Syrian passport was found near his body in Paris.

Belgian police made a series of arrests following investigations around the Molenbeek area, known as a “ghetto” for extremist factions and the home of Abdelhamid Abaaoud – the mastermind of the attack. Police see this area as a hub for jihadists, and parking tickets from this district were found in a car used in the attack.
