Greek government accepted the resignation of Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Panagiotis Sgouridis after minister’s statements on farmers issue.

While the government is trying anxiously to control and deal with the crisis emerged from farmers’ protest actions hoping to convince them to put an end to road blocks and start a debate, Mr. Sgouridis inflamed the situation stating that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras made false promises.

Following his statements, Mr. Sgouridis submitted his resignation and even though prime minister’s office initially announced that Prime Minister will address the issue when he comes back from Brussels, today it released a statement saying that the resignation was accepted.
