George Clooney in Mykonos: The glamorous party, the security measures and the gourmet Greek menu (videos-photos)

The Hollywood star was on the island of the winds for the event of the Swiss watch house

George Clooney has been in Greece, specifically in Mykonos, since yesterday. The Hollywood mega-star was on the island of the winds for the event of the Swiss watchmaker Omega.

The glittering event took place on Lia Beach, which had been suitably configured to host the event. As can be seen in the Mykonos Live TV video, the sunbeds and umbrellas had disappeared and the beautiful beach was empty. The security measures were draconian as there was a control at a distance of three kilometers from the beach while in the surrounding area security men and police officers with dogs were deployed.

Clooney, who stars alongside Korean actor Hyun Bin in the ad campaign for Omega’s Speedmaster watch range, was smartly dressed in a suit and white shirt. After posing for the requisite photos, he cracked jokes and chatted with many guests.

Among them was Paul Wesley, the 41-year-old actor and former model best known for playing Stefan Salvatore in the TV series The Vampire Diaries.

Then followed an impressive party on the beach which was flooded with yellow lights. George Clooney and the rest of the guests enjoyed chef Tasos Mantis ‘ menu which included summer salad, smoked amberjack, poached cod, and cherry ice cream accompanied by Greek wines.

At some point, Clooney was seen saw standing next to a blonde beauty and talking to her as well as another guest.

The event was attended by 200 journalists from all over the world, including representatives of the American magazines Vogue and Marie Claire, as well as many influencers.

There were also the president and CEO of ORA KESSARIS Vassilis Kaisaris with his wife, Chara, the well-known realtor Yiannis Revythis and the mayor of Mykonos Konstantinos Koukas.
