German Chancellor A. Merkel states “disappointment” with Greece (video)

She is waiting for Greek reforms to be sent for evaluation

German Chancellor Angela Merkel gave a brief press conference following the multi-partite meeting with Greece and its international creditors at dawn on Friday. She told reporters that there was ‘disappointment’ that more progress has not been made by Greece. “There was disappointment that what we expected didn’t happen after February 20,” she said.

Europe’s powerful leader announced that the Greek government will send specific reforms. She said that the Eurogroup is ready to soon receive and evaluate reform plans but she declined to set a date for releasing further aid to Greece, something that depends on a positive evaluation of Greece’s reform proposals.
