Germany gives Greek govt a list of 10,588 Greek bank accounts in Switzerland

Deputy Finance Minister Trifon Alexiadis is expected to make statements on the issue today

Tax authorities of North Rhine-Westphalia gave to Greek Finance Ministry a list containing 10,588 bank accounts of Greek citizens in Swiss banks.

The data refer to Greek citizen’s bank accounts in Switerland for 2006 and 2008 and the total amount of the deposits reaches 3.9 billion Swiss francs in 2006 and 2.9 billion Swiss francs 2008, said Finance Ministry in a statement, whereas these lists are considered a powerful weapon to identify potential fraudsters.
