Good Friday: How will commercial stores, supermarkets, and local markets operate – Changes in transportation services

Stores and supermarkets will operate with regular hours tomorrow, Holy Saturday - Changes in bus, trolleybus, metro, and suburban railway schedules will be in effect until Wednesday after Easter

Noon today, Good Friday, commercial stores, supermarkets, and shopping centers will open while local markets will operate normally.

Specifically:

– Commercial stores are recommended to operate from 1 PM until 7 PM.
– Supermarkets and shopping centers are recommended to operate from 1 PM until 9 PM.

Both commercial stores and supermarkets, as well as local markets, will operate normally tomorrow, Holy Saturday.

Changes in transportation services:

Public transportation will operate with special schedules starting today since the extension of operating hours will not be in effect, with services running until midnight.

As usual, public transportation services will end their routes before 11:00 PM on Holy Saturday night, while special schedules will be in place until the Wednesday after Easter.

Bus and trolleybus schedules:

– Good Friday, May 3rd: Saturday schedule for all vehicles.
– Holy Saturday, May 4th: All vehicles will begin to withdraw earlier to be at depots by 11:00 PM.
– Easter Sunday, May 5th: Sunday and holiday schedule for all vehicles.
– Easter Monday, May 6th: Sunday and holiday schedule for all vehicles.
– Easter Tuesday, May 7th: Sunday and holiday schedule for all vehicles.
– Easter Wednesday, May 8th: Saturday schedule for all vehicles.

Depending on passenger traffic and if deemed necessary, there are plans to reinforce lines serving the airport, Kifissos and Liosion bus terminals, and the Port of Piraeus throughout the Easter period.

– Line 1 from Piraeus and Kifissia, and from Kifissia to Piraeus at 10:20 PM.
– Line 2 from Anthoupoli at 10:46 PM and from Elliniko at 10:43 PM.
– Line 3 from Doukissis Plakentias at 10:42 PM and from Syntagma Square at 10:39 PM.
– From Syntagma Metro Station to all directions at 11:00 PM.
– From the Airport at 10:22 PM and from Syntagma Square to the Airport at 9:43 PM.
– Tram Line 6 from Pikrodafni at 10:00 PM and from Syntagma at 10:45 PM.
– Tram Line 7 from Kalamaki at 10:07 PM and from Agia Triada at 10:43 PM.
– Tram Lines 6 & 7 with connections at Pikrodafni from Syntagma to Kalamaki at 10:30 PM, and vice versa at 9:52 PM, and from Agia Triada to Syntagma at 9:28 PM, and vice versa at 9:30 PM.
