Gov’t worries about voting the second harsh bill

The government aims to pass the bill until next Sunday, but its main concern is what the agreement on debt will actually include

The Greek government is in a rush to vote the bill on the pending prerequisite actions in order to finalize the agreement at next Eurogroup meeting to be held on May 24, while the gap between European partners and the IMF on the Greek debt still remains.

The government aims to pass the bill until next Sunday, but its main concern is what the agreement on debt will actually include.

The differences between the Europeans and the IMF have caused great anxiety to Athens, since the bar of the expectations is set lower and the government does not exclude that there will be no clear and final agreement on the debt in the next Eurogroup. So negotiation talks might need to be continued and MPs will be called to vote for the second harsh bill without being certain on a final debt arrangement.
