UPD: Anna’s flight to Greece delayed for two hours

Plane scheduled to land before noon in Athens

UPD: The Alitalia flight carrying Olympic twin medal winner Anna Korakaki will be delayed due to the strict checks of her luggage (guns) at the airport in Rome. Her plane is now expected to land at about 15 minutes past 1. Anna posted a selfie in transit from Rome.

Twin Olympic medal winner Anna Korakai is scheduled to arrive in Athens just before noon at the Eleftehrios Venizelos International airport, Thursday. Korakaki, who won a gold medal in the 25m pistol event and a bronze in the 10m air pistol in the Rio 2016 Olympics, is accompanied in her trip back to Greece by her father and coach, Tasos Korakakis. Once they land in Athens they are expected to leave straight for their home town of Drama in northern Greece. Many ordinary Greek citizens are expected to greet to the 20-year-old Olympian. After her two medals Anna climbed to fifth place in the 25m pistol world rankings and 4th in the 10m air pistol.
