Greece expects the 2bln tranche disbursement to be approved today

Euro Working Group decided on Friday that Greece has successfully completed its first set of prior actions

Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos is expecting the disbursement of the 2 billion euros tranche to be approved today by Euro Working Group.

During Friday’s meeting, the Euro Working Group decided that Greece has successfully completed its first set of prior actions and gave the green light for the disbursement of the tranche.

The fact that there was an agreement at EWG facilitates the process at today’s meeting, since the finance ministers will not discuss in detail the Greek issue.

A briefing is expected to be made by President of the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem and Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moskovici.

EU Finance Ministers will make recommendations to Greece and institutions to accelerate discussions on the second set of prior actions in order to timely complete the first evaluation of the program.
