Greece issued a strong diplomatic remonstration to the Presidency of the Republic of Albania regarding a provocative “exhibition” which presented photos and maps with the theme of the so-called “genocide of the Tsamis” but also the “occupation of Albanian territories by Greece”.
According to diplomatic sources, the Greek Embassy in Tirana staged a strong protest and immediately demanded explanations from the office of Albanian President Ilir Meta, regarding the said report. The Albanian President Ilir Meta was given a tour of the controversial exhibition by the organisers.
The photos, which have been posted on the exterior fence of the Albanian presidential palace, are accompanied by accusations against Greece regarding the “Tsamis genocide”, as well as maps showing most of Greece as “occupied Albanian territories”.
