“The German government has formally entered negotiations,” was Athens’ laconic response on Wednesday afternoon following the publication – by Reuters – of a confidential German government report towards the Euro Working Group, reportedly requesting that the current Greek bailout program continue.
A further statement by Athens merely said that the “German ultimatum will not be accepted”.
