Greek and Turkish Defence Ministers meeting now at the NATO Summit

It’s the first four-a-four since the two men had a brief one in June

The Greek Minister of National Defence, Nikos Panagiotopoulos, is currently meeting with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar on the sidelines of the NATO Ministerial Summit in Brussels.

Yesterday, Mr. Panagiotopoulos had a twenty-minute meeting with NATO Secretary Jens Stoltenberg, to whom he again explained the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean. And despite the fact that there was a detailed conversation and the appointment exceeded its planned duration, the Norwegian politician did not cross the classic line of neutrality, a stance that has made him disliked in Athens.

Nikos Panagiotopoulos will, however, see his American counterpart Lloyd Austin, but also his counterparts from Germany Christine Lambrecht and France Sébastien Lecorny.
