Greek central banks interim reported submitted to Greek Parliament

Gradual recovery in second half of 2016

The Bank of Greece’s interim report on monetary policy is being submitted to Greek Parliament on Friday by Bank of Greece Governor Yannis Stournaras. The governor will call for consensus so taht the reforms included in the new financing program will be implemented as soon as possible.

The central bank’s estimates show that the economy will remain in recession in the first half of the year, however a gradual recovery is feasible.

Further relaxation of capital controls and their lifting are also conditions for the GDP to return to positive rates.
