Greek pol leaders agree on 4 axes to achieve agreement (pics + vids)

The meeting of political leaders is underway, but interrupted by telephone conversation with French leader.

Greek political leaders agreed on Monday over four main axes in seeking an urgent agreement with the country’s partners and creditors, during a meeting chaired by the Greek president.
The political leaders, including PM Alexis Tsipras, but excluding the leader of the small communist party (KKE), authorized the former to negotiate with partners on the specific axes, namely:

1. An attempt to achieve a socially fair agreement
2. An agreement that includes reforms deemed necessary for the country
3. An agreement that will ensure sufficient funding for economic growth
4. Attempts to resolve the debt issue, so that the latter becomes viable.

Here’s a copy of the joint statement:

“The recent decision of the Greek people does not comprise a mandate for rupture (clash), but a mandate for continuing and strengthening the effort to achieve a socially just and economically sustainable agreement. Towards this direction, the government assumes the responsibility to continue negotiations. … each political leader will contribute, respectively, within the framework of his or her institutional and political role. The common goal is to seek a solution that will ensure:

The adequate coverage of the country’s funding needs
Reliable reforms, based on the criterion of a just distribution of burdens and the promotion of growth, with the least possible recessionary effects
Powerful, front-loaded, growth program, first and foremost for combating unemployment and for the encouragement of entrepreneurship
A commitment towards the commencement of a substantive discussion in dealing with the problem of sustainability of the Greek public debt
Immediate priority is to restore liquidity in the financial system, in consultation with the ECB. The Prime Minister has pledged to brief political Leaders, immediately after the forthcoming EU Summit, for the first conclusions to be drawn and for the overall progress of negotiations.”
