Greek Judge orders probe into phone tapping of journalist

The investigation will be conducted by a prosecutor of the Court of First Instance

The head of the Athens Prosecutor’s Office, Sotiria Papageorgopoulou, ordered a preliminary investigation after reports of the complaint of journalist Thanasis Koukakis about his phone being tapped.

Specifically, by order of Mrs. Papageorgopoulou, an investigation is underway in order to determine if and by whom the criminal act of telephone privacy violation has been committed.

The investigation will be conducted by a prosecutor of the Court of First Instance.
