Greek President on 2-day official visit to Cyprus

Greek President P. Pavlopoulos will have a full day of meetings in Cyprus on Monday with his Cypriot counterpart, the Archbishop and party leaders

President Prokopis Pavlopoulos is paying a two-day official visit to Cyprus. The visit, his first as President, will include an in-depth discussion with his Cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades on the latest development on the long-standing Cyprus dispute. Pavlopoulos is accompanied by Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias.

Pavlopoulos was greeted at Larnaca’s airport by Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kassoulides.

Today’s meeting includes a visit tot he presidential mansion to meet with Aanastasiades and a meeting with Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos. Later in the afternoon, Pavlopoulos will address the Cypriot Parliament and meet with party leaders in the evening.

An official dinner hosted in the Greek President’s honor is taking place at the presidential mansion this evening.
