Hardouvelis for ENFIA: 4,000 settlements will return to the previous year’s level

Further, the Minister of Finance announced that 400,000 businesses will be exempt from the obligation to pay VAT

The mandate given by the Prime Minister Mr. Antonis Samaras on the occasion of the problems arising from ENFIA will be applied immediately.

As reported in Parliament on Wednesday afternoon the Minister of Finance Mr. Gikas Hardouvelis, 4,000 settlements outside objective valuation, will return to the valuation of these values at last year’s levels.

Further, the Minister of Finance announced that 400,000 businesses will be exempt from the obligation to pay VAT.

These businesses which will qualify for this scheme will be those who have declared gross income up to $ 10,000.

Mr. Hardouvelis stressed that this way these businesses will be more competitive, while it will result in freed people in tax offices and that the officials of the Ministry of Finance will be able target large enterprises.

According to the Minister of Finance the eligibility for this scheme will be voluntary, while he added that the provision is not something alien to the EU.

Furthermore, Mr. Hardouvelis announced that what remains is the mandatory publication of contracts and government OTA in regional press, “listening” that way the protests made on this topic.
