Healthy lamb born with two heads in China!

Each head of a polycephalic creature has its own brain, and they somehow share control of the organs and limbs

A farmer in China was stunned to see one of his sheep give birth to a cute little lamb with two perfectly formed heads.

This unique creature was born in the province of Hohhot, in Northern China and it has four eyes, two mouths and two noses.

The adorable little lamb was photographed when it was only a few days old and is said to be perfectly healthy, despite its deformity.

This condition is described by biology as Polycephaly, a term which is derived from the Greek stems poly- meaning ‘multiple’ and kephali- meaning “head”.

Two-headed people and animals, though rare, have long been known to exist and documented. Each head of a polycephalic creature has its own brain, and they somehow share control of the organs and limbs, though the specific structure of the connections varies.
