Heinz ketchup leads users to saucy porn site

Heinz becomes the sexy sauce

German Daniel Korrell the QR code on a bottle of Heinz sauce expected to land a page about designing his own lable but went somewhere saucy – German hardcore porn site Fundorado.

The muddle was caused by the fact that Heinz ran the contest from 2012 through to 2014. once it expired, Fundorado registered the web addressed replacing the Heinz site with porn.

Korrell wrote on Heinz’s Facebook page that the ketchup really isn’t for under-age people. “Even if the bottle was a leftover, it’s still in lots of households. It’s incomprehensible that you didn’t reserve the domain for one or two years. It really doesn’t cost the Earth.”

Red-faced Heinz’s social media team apologized. The company would allow Korell to create his own label and send him a free bottle of Heinz printed with his design.

On its part, Fundorado took advantage of the kefuffle and offered Korell a free year’s subscription.
