Interior Minister accuses the Attica region administration of lack of seriousness

The Interior Minister critisized the administration of Attica Region for its stance after the publication of Proto Thema report

In a statement released on Thursday, Interior Minister Argyris Dinopoulos accused the Attica region administration for lack of seriousness, underlining that the Attica region had already awarded the cleaning services contract for the buildings occupied by its departments to a private company prior to the relevant publication of a report by ‘Proto Thema’ newspaper.

“Following the publication of Proto Thema report on the laid-off cleaners, the Attica region suddenly realized, with a delay, that there was a pressing need for hiring cleaning personnel and decided, again with a delay, to submit the request. Prior to the publication of the ‘Proto Thema’ report, the administration had (and rightly so) awarded the contract of the cleaning services to a private company. And now – after the ‘Proto Thema’ report- the administration decided not to proceed with the contract,” Mr. Dinopoulos said.

The Interior Minister also underlined that this behavior shows lack of seriousness.
