At 16, she appeared in a show of Victoria’s Secret, which brought a storm of reactions as this was prohibited because she was minor. This incident made the young Brazilian known across the world and opened for her many professional doors.

Fontana previously married to model Alvaro Jacomossi and have a son, Zion together but divorced in 2004. A year after she married actor and model Henri Castelli and had her second son with him, Lucas, but again in 2007 the couple divorced. Shortly after she got engaged to Rohan Marley but this relationship did not go well as the two separated in September of 2012.
