One of the two Japanese hostages held by ISIS has been killed following the expiry of the deadline for ransom, a video posted on the Internet by a known supporter of the terror group claims.

A man’s voice in the video blames Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for the hostage’s death and makes new demands for the release of the second hostage.

The Japanese authorities are investigating the authenticity of the video, which shows a static image of surviving hostage Kenji Goto, dressed in an orange jumpsuit and holding a photo of decapitated Haruna Yukawa.

It is reminded that four days ago, ISIS posted a video demanding that the Japanese government pay $200 million within 72 hours for the two hostages’ release.
