The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed  from the government  the Secretary of Defense, Dani Danon on Tuesday because he criticized the government’s decision to accept the Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire with Hamas.

“Once again Hamas is the one that sets the tone in this business. We must take the initiative and fix the mistake made at a cabinet meeting this morning, “stated characteristically  Danny Danon on Tuesday.

However, Israeli officials told Reuters that Danon has long been marginalized by Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, while in May he had written a critical article for the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, forcing the Israeli ambassador in Washington to publish a report stressing that the views of the Secretary “do not reflect the position of the government of Israel”.
