J. Lew urges less “rhetoric”, more “technical work” for Greece (video)

The US Treasury Secretary wants Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis to come through with the technical work required by going through “every line” of the budget

US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew urged the Greek government to present a detailed program of reforms to its international creditors. He warned that these detailed reforms would need to be specific and urgently implemented.

“I believe that the kind of detail that’s needed requires going literally through every line in your budget and every program that you control and coming forward with the kinds of options that both build confidence that there is a sustainable path and also start to show how you have the potential growth for the future,” he said, adding that less “rhetoric” and more “hard technical work” is required.
