Kerry: We will do everything we can to see Greece return to growth

He also said that he highly appreciates the Greek efforts in the financial sector

US Secretary of State John State John Kerry said he is aware of the major challenges Greece is facing particularly on migration, during the meeting with Greek Prime Minister.

He also added that he highly appreciates the Greek efforts in the financial sector and promised that the US will do everything they can to help the country return to growth.

“I know it is not easy,” he stated adding “We, on our part, will do everything we can to see Greece return to growth.”

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras welcomed Kerry stressing to Mr. Kerry that he came at a “critical period for the wider region” adding that “there are stability threats in the region and it is very important to find solutions to this problem.”

Greece is a hub of stability in the region and a pole of cooperation he told Mr. Kerry stressing that Greece depends on the historic bonds with the countries of the wider region in order to find solutions to overcome the difficulties in the region.

Mr. Kerry noted: “I am very glad that I am in Greece, and I am grateful for the cooperation on security issues. We work very closely and I am aware that you are facing very significant challenges particularly regarding migration,”.
