Kikilias: Nothing indicates Jihadist presence in Greece so far

Mr. Vasilis Kikilias appeared very reassuring on the matter of reports about the existence of Jihadists in Greece

When the Minister of Public and Order was asked by the Independent MP Mr. Nikita Kaklamanis about the above issue, he rushed to assure of any concerns by stating that: ” Nothing indicates Jihadist presence in Greece so far”.

Prompted of a published picture on a website, presenting members of ISIS hoisting black flags in the area of Klathmonos square, Mr. Kaklamanis asked the Minister about the incident and Mr. Kikilias made clear that ” the specific picture was taken back on the 31st of August in a protest demonstration organized by the “community of Syrian spring’ on solidarity to the people of Syria.

Finally, Mr. Kikilias concluded by saying that :”The Ministry services in close collaboration with the competent services of other Ministries, are utilizing and establishing channels of a wider international cooperation, in order to take all necessary and appropriate preventive or deterrent measures.”
