Greek neighbourhood among world’s top for 2016

The list of the top neighbourhoods in the world was compiled based on the comments of 40 million travelers who used Airbnb service

Over 40 million people travelled in 2015 and stayed in homes through Airbnb in 150 countries around the world and most of them preferred to stay outside of traditional tourist hotspots.

After all, 74% of Airbnb properties are located in neighbourhoods which are away of famous tourist locations giving the opportunity to visitors to experience local life.

Among the increasingly trendy neighbourhoods all over the world is a Greek one, Koukaki in Athens, whereas Chūō-ku in Osaka, Japan, and Banglampoo in Bangkok, Thailand, are also included.

“Adjacent to The Acropolis, Koukaki sits at the bottom of the Lofos Filopappou and, like all great neighbourhoods in Greece, is home to many ancient treasures” Daily Mail writes.
