Kurdish group ‘Hawks for the Liberation of Kurdistan’ responsible for Sunday terror attack in Ankara, Turkey

The group had also claimed responsibility for February attack In Ankara

A Kurdish militant group calling itself ‘Hawks for the Liberation of Kurdistan’ posted a statement on its website claiming responsibility for the terror attack in Ankara, Turkey on Sunday which killed 37 people. It is the same terrorist group that had claimed responsibility for a deadly attack in February in Ankara that left 29 people dead. The February attack had also been carried out with a car bomb. The groups explains that the bomb attack was an ‘act of revenge’ against the military operations conducted since July 2015 in the eastern provinces of Turkey against the majority Kurdish populations. The group warned that more casualties were inevitable as it plans to carry out more attacks against those it sees as culpable for the Turkish security forces’ operations in the south east part of the country.
