Lagarde: I’m not sure Varoufakis will follow through with what we agreed upon

Direct insinuations on reforms and the Greek pension system

IMF director Christine Lagarde spoke to PBS channel and made negative statements about the pension system in Greece.

Characteristically, she stated that “the pensions system in Greece is not viable, it is a burden on the Greek economy and must be reformed immediately”.

At the same time the French IMF Director expressed her worries on whether the agreements she had with Greek FinMin Varoufakis in Washington a week ago would actually be implemented.

She directly insinuated the non-implementation of reforms from previous governments.
