Learn Greek for free on the island of Kefalonia

Do you live on Kefalonia but can’t speak Greek? Go ahead and challenge yourself by taking free Greek language lessons and start conversing like a local!

The next round of Greek language classes for non Greek speaking residents of Kefalonia is commencing for all levels soon.

The classes are for newcomers. All participants need to do to enroll is to fill out an application form and register in the Xenia Building (near to 2nd high School building) past the port of Argostoli with their passports or a form of identification.

The program “Greek Language, History and Civilization Training Courses for Immigrants-ODYSSEUS programme” addresses EU citizens and third country nationals who live in Greece and are at least 16 years old. The program is co – financed by Greece and the European Union in the context of the Operational Program “Education and Lifelong learning” of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports.

The main aim is that learners will acquire the language skills as well as the social and cross-cultural capabilities which are necessary for the social integration and active participation of themselves and their families. The educational program offers the following levels: A1 (125 hours), A2 (175 hours), B1 (185 hours) and B1 with emphasis on speaking skills (195 hours).
