The tribes of the Middle Earth are meeting at Architektoniki in Athens on Saturday, December 20 for the big meeting of The lord of the Rings Greek Fan Club titled Lord of the Rings Athens 2014. The Tolkien-charged event coincides with the release of Hobbit 3 in Greece and features all the fantasy trimmings that J. R. R. Tolkien envisioned in his trilogy and beyond.

LOTR-inspired dishes are on the menu with Lembas bread quiche lorraine and other Tolkienesque dishes. There are shows, miniature painting and a mega LOTR battle to be played out. LOTR and Hobbit board games will encourage fans to come together and socialize. There will bee speed eating, speed beer drinking and Cosplay competitions as well as live music.

All day entrance is at 6 euros and includes beer or soft drinks. 2,400 euros in prizes. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
