The 52-year-old husband of a school canteen owner is facing a number of charges of child molestation. The man operated a school canteen at the region of North-East Attica and was found sexually molesting a 10-year-old child and other children under the age of 12.

The man was arrested on Friday and has already met the prosecutor, George Noulis, who created a file against him. Now that he is charged he will testify on Wednesday.

The case came to police attention after a 10-year-old pupil confided in her mother on Thursday afternoon regarding what was happening. The mother immediately took the matter to the police.

The accused allegedly brought the child to the canteen, closed the door, offered her orange juice and tried to make her take off her top so that he could see her chest. The mother said that the man has repeatedly acted in this way. Over Christmas he offered the child various snacks from the canteen for free. The child confirmed what had happened in her meetings with the police.

The man admitted to the accusation made by the 10-year-old and also confessed that he had also molested another two students from 4th and 5th grade, expressing remorse. The prosecutor is now in the process of identifying the other two victims.
