A man decided to convert a Boeing 727 into his home after making it his mission to save retired aircrafts from becoming scrap metal.

Bruce Campbell, from Portland, Oregon, now spends half of the year living inside the huge aircraft, which still has its cockpit.

 
The 64-year-old former electrical engineer had originally planned to build a home from freight vans at the ten acre plot, but then decided the Olympic Airways aircraft would be better.

“My goal in life is to change humanity’s behaviour in this little niche,” said Campbell who spent around 130,000 pounds or 160,000 euros for this project.
