Martha Graham Dance Company returns to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus

The performance will be held in the framework of the Athens Festival

The most historical and influential American dance company in the world, Martha Graham Dance Company returns to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus to present the work “Celebrating the Greek Connection”.

Top dancer and choreographer Martha Graham set the base of the modern dance and was established as the one of the most innovative artists of the 20th century, conquering dozens of honors through her work.

Her name is synonymous with changes that established her as the eternal symbol of modern dance, the most important contemporary choreographers have studied her and were inspired by Martha Graham technique or studied dance at her school.

All proceeds from the show will be distributed through Lifeline Hellas humanitarian organization www.lifelinegr.org for the support of the neonatal intensive care units of the state regional hospitals in Crete, Patra, Larissa, Ioannina and Alexandroupoli.

The performance will be held under the auspices and in the presence of TRH Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia who is the patron of Lifeline.
