MEDNETA Open Workshop for Creativity in Athens

On Friday the 16th, and Saturday the 17th of January

The ENPI CBCMED Cross Border Cooperation of the Mediterranean cultural network to promote creativity in the arts, crafts and design for communities’ regeneration in historical cities (MEDNETA) is organizing an open workshop on creativity in the historic center of Athens on Friday, January 16, and Saturday, January 17.

MEDNETA focuses on the support and reinforcement of creativity of traditional activities and aims to achieving a crossborder cooperative spirit between SMEs in arts (ACDs/Arts, Crafts and Design).

MEDNETA is carried out with the scientific direction of the NTUA within the ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme.

Having successfully run its first year, MEDNETA seeks to reaffirm and recognize the strategic role of creative professions in the renaissance of historic cities of the Mediterranean. Besides Athens, the scientific work includes cities such as Valencia, Florence, Palermo, Tunis, Beirut, and Hebron.

Within this framework, the Open Workshop for Creativity in the Historic Center of Athens is planned for January 16-17, in the “Oraia Hellas” (“Beautiful Greece”) coffee shop at Dimopratiriou plaza, Monastiraki.
