Former secretaries of New Democracy are having a meeting at the headquarters of the political party, in order to discuss the preparation of the of  the ND’s  40 year anniversary.

The first event is to take place on Saturday in Thessaloniki, while it will conclude with a speech by the Prime Minister in Athens, marking the transition to the “new era of New Democracy.”

Mr. Samaras plans to exploit the events in order to appeal the party’s patriotism to cadres and voters.
