According to the Greek “Sunday Kathimerini” newspaper, Mr. Meimarakis was offered the vice presidency of New Democracy by former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.

However, the former Parliament President made from his side the following statement on the matter: “The referenced article in the” Sunday Kathimerini” newspaper, according to which I received a proposal for vice presidency of New Democracy party by its President Antonis Samaras, has no connection with reality”.
