Mina Papatheodorou-Valyraki: Awarded for her cultural cooperation with the US

The artist welcomed Yumi Hogant to her exhibition in Nafplio as well as representatives from the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC

Greece-US cultural exchange and Mina Papatheodorou-Valyraki’s collaboration alongside painter and first lady of Maryland as wife of Governor Larry Hogan from 2015 to 2023 Yumi Hogan celebrated yesterday at the Museum of the Vasilis and Eliza Goulandris Foundation (formerly the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation) in Nafplio.

In 2022 with Yumi Hogan we held an exhibition in the States and in 2019 Mrs. Hogan visited Greece along with members of the board of the National Museum of Women in the Arts Washington DC and attended my exhibition in Nafplio,” Mina Papatheodorou-Valyraki expressed.

During the event, awards were presented for the cultural exchange and friendship between the two artists, as well as for the collaboration and friendship between the two Museums.

The members of the board of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Senator Mary Mochary, Dr. Annita Auback, and the patron and restorer of the iconic museum in Washington, Climis Laskaris were also present and received awards from the President of the Vasilis and Eliza Goulandris Foundation, Mrs. Georgia Samara.
