Mitsotakis: Citizens see that the Astypalea project is a revolution (photos)

“I strongly believe in the Astypalea project, because nothing can be done if we do not have the support of local communities”

One year after the official launch of the “Astypalea: Smart and Sustainable Island” program, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and VW Group President Herbert Diess gave the green light for the start of its second phase.

One phase, which after the program of replacement of vehicles with electric and the donation of public use electric vehicles by the VW Group, now extends to the “smart mobility” with the presentation among others of the application “Astymove” which will be the service platform of shared electric minivans in the context of public transport.

In this context, VW will make the presentation of the first purely electric minivan it has made, the ID.BUZZ, which will hit European roads next autumn.

Until then, the unique mini vans of this model will be in use exclusively on the streets of Astypalea!
