Mitsotakis from Bulgaria: Turkey continues to threaten Greece with Casus Belli (video-photos)

The Prime Minister spoke of a new day in the relations between the two countries, in trade and in other sectors

Newsroom December 20 11:14

The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, spoke about a new day in the bilateral relations between Greece and Bulgaria, in his joint statements with his counterpart from the neighboring country, Kirill Petkov.

Mr. Mitsotakis noted that our country supports the European perspective of the countries of the Western Balkans, noting that a necessary condition is the observance of their commitments and the fulfillment of the criteria.

On the agenda of the talks, as Mr. Mitsotakis said, was immigration, developments in the wider region and the pandemic.

“Greece will support Bulgaria with all its might in its new beginning,” the Greek prime minister concluded, referring to the new day following Petkov’s election as prime minister.

It is worth noting that Mr. Mitsotakis is the first European leader to visit Bulgaria after the formation of the new government, a fact that testifies, as government sources point out, the importance that Athens attaches to its relations with Sofia, and the desire to deepen and the importance it attaches to ensuring stability and growth in the Western Balkans and their European perspective.

Answering a relevant question, the Greek Prime Minister said that it is a matter of months to complete the issue with the IGB pipeline.
