Mitsotakis: The government drove the country into a recessionary spiral

He said that activation of the contingency mechanism should be considered certain

The president of main opposition party New Democracy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, lashed out at the government’s policies addressing 2nd Conference for Entrepreneurship organized by Naftemporiki.

“The government drove the country into a recessionary spiral, and now talks about economic growth, but no growth can be achieved by delivering invocations” he stressed.

He accused the government of being “hostile to entrepreneurship” stating that entrepreneurship “is completely incompatible with [government’s] political DNA”.

According to Mr. Mitsotakis, activation of the contingency mechanism should be considered certain, while he also added that Greece needs a government that would reduce taxes, inspire confidence, secure investments and create new job positions.
