Opposition MP to Yanis: 'Who gave you the right to return bonds to EFSF?'

Kyriakos Mitsotakis also demanded to know how Varoufakis was given “special authorization” to sign a decision returning the capital

Main opposition New Democracy Parliamentary spokesman Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday demanded that FinMin Yanis Varoufakis explain why Parliament wasn’t briefed that unused funds allocated to the Financial Stability Fund did not remain in the country, as prescribed by a relevant law.

Speaking from Parliament’s podium, the former minister also demanded to know how Varoufakis acquired a “special authorization” to sign a decision returning the capital, given that a recently approved loan agreement extension hasn’t been tabled in Parliament for debate and ratification.
