Motion of no confidence against the government regarding the Tempi region

Kasselakis: Mitsotakis should resign and let’s go to elections – Government: Kasselakis undermines the political system

Initiative for filing a motion of no confidence against the government was announced by the president of PASOK Nikos Androulakis, calling on the parties to “rise to the occasion.”

“We are facing a ruthless power clique that tramples on human rights and undermines the rule of law. That’s why there is only one way: the motion of no confidence,” he notes, adding: “I take the institutional initiative and call on all parties of the democratic spectrum to rise to the occasion.”

In a message, the president of SYRIZA calls on the prime minister to resign “calmly and with basic dignity, as befits democratically elected leaders and not monarchs, so that the country can be democratically led to elections.”

In addition, he requests the presence of international observers because, as he argues, “a prime minister under whose leadership elements of crime are being constructed, politicians and military personnel are being monitored by NIS – Predator, and personal data is being channeled for electoral exploitation, cannot conduct unimpeded elections without a doubt”.

The government spokesperson immediately responded accusing Stefanos Kasselakis of undermining the Constitution, while noting that it is unacceptable for the leader of the Official Opposition party to so brutally insult popular will and present Greece as a third world country.

“The president of SYRIZA, in his attempt to overcome the other mouthpiece of the attempt to destabilize the country, with today’s post, went to another level and became a conscious underminer of the Constitution,” noted government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis in response to the president of SYRIZA.
