Muslim blood poured in the streets of the world as men slashed, cut and beat themselves

In a gruesome, bloody festival muslims all over the world have been slashing themselves with sharp blades, covering their bodies in mud and lighting bonfires in the streets to mourn the death of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson today. Shocking images show young boys lashing their own backs with small knives and chains, while thousands of men perform brutal bloody rituals from Lebanon, Bangladesh, Iraq, Pakistan and Myanmar to Athens, Greece. The activities are part of the holy Day of Ashura that commemorates the death of Imam Hussein at the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD.
