New Democracy leader Evangelos Meimarakis accused Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras of lying to the Greek people and called on the government to immediately disconnect the banks’ recapitalization from the evaluation.

Mr. Meimarakis noted that the Prime Minister has said that first home foreclosures was “a red line” and now it has become a “decent compromise”

“Eventually the incompetence, inadequacy and continuous retractions of the government create serious problems to the economy and society. They mostly cultivate the instability and the uncertainty. The Greek citizens do not know what to do,” Meimarakis said.
