The newly elected leader of New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Potami leader Stavors Theodorakis had their first meeting in the Parliament.
Arriving at the Parliament, Mr. Theodorakis told reporters that the “dialogue is useful, it’s not just for us to feel good”.
As he explained, “it is for citizens so as to feel safe and know that there are some people determined, despite their differences, to cooperate in some major reforms for the country”.
According to Mr. Theodorakis, “there is another path, the path of reforms” and as he pointed out, “we will discuss so as to find out the points we agree and disagree regarding the reforms”.
New Democracy president Kyriakos Mitsotakis said it was important the pro-European forces who are in favor of reforms to discuss because “we have very tough issues to address to”.
Then, addressing to Mr. Theodorakis, he said that he welcomed his efforts to avert populism and emphasize on logical political thinking.
