ND parliamentary spokesman attacked Finance Minister

“I don’t like it either, I don’t want ENFIA, but, this is a law voted by the parliament.”

New Democracy parliamentary spokesman Adonis Georgiadis, speaking on SKAI TV channel, attacked Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis and urged him to resign if he could not apply the ENFIA tax law.

He said that “If Mr. Hardouvelis does not like the ENFIA or can’t bear the psychological burden, he should resign. He will be replaced by someone else.”

“I don’t like it either, I don’t want ENFIA, but, this is a law voted by the parliament. The MPs vote based on what they must do and not what they want to do. Whoever can’t do that is not made for this job. He should go home…I said it yesterday during my speech at the Parliament. Mr.Hardouvelis has a different opinion, I would have done it if I were Finance Minister. Since the government has problems with the amendment, it should withdraw it and say: We will re-submit it if the opposition agrees, otherwise people will pay the ENFIA tax as it is.”
